Questions

Before you choose.

Anything else? Write to programs@californiabusinessinstitute.com.

How long does a course take?

About 51–56 hours each: ten classes, the readings, quizzes, two exams and two case assignments. At 9 hours a week that is 6–7 weeks. Nothing is scheduled, so you set the pace.

Is each course the same as the MBA module?

Yes. Each course is the complete module from the CBI MBA: the same ten classes, textbook, study guide, exams and case assignments, sold on its own.

Do I need a business background?

No. None of the courses assumes a business degree. Managerial Accounting and Marketing Management ask for comfort with spreadsheets and basic algebra, and Corporate Finance expects you to read a profit and loss statement (Managerial Accounting covers it). Each course page says exactly what it assumes.

Which course should I start with?

The one closest to a decision you face now. Each course above says who it is for, and each names the course that builds most directly on it.

Can I buy more than one?

Yes, as many as you like. Your card is saved securely with Stripe at your first purchase, so every other course is one click away in your portal. Nothing is charged until you confirm.

How do I get access?

Straight after you pay, you are signed in to the CBI student portal and can start class one. We also email you a sign-in link and your receipt.

What if a course isn't right for me?

If the course isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund. It applies as long as you've watched fewer than three classes and haven't submitted an assignment.
